Alibaba Cloud to Expand Data Center Capacity in UAE and Global Hubs

Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to expand its data center capacity in key international hubs, including the United Arab Emirates. Unveiled at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, the expansion aims to support growing enterprise demand for artificial intelligence workloads.

Alibaba Cloud announced plans to establish new cloud regions in Europe and expand data center capacity across multiple international hubs, including the United Arab Emirates, according to Telecoms.

Unveiled at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, the infrastructure roadmap covers expansions in the UAE, Germany, France, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. The initiative is set to scale Alibaba Cloud's global footprint to 31 regions and 107 availability zones.

The company stated that the expansion is intended to meet rising regional enterprise demand for artificial intelligence workloads and scalable agent-native cloud applications.
