Dubai is optimistic regarding the future of bilateral trade with China, according to Dubai Chambers Chairman Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori in an interview with CGTN. The emirate re-exports nearly 40 percent of its imports from China across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Europe. Dubai currently hosts over 6,600 Chinese companies and is seeking to expand partnerships.
A delegation from the Government of Dubai Media Office met with representatives of Shenzhen News Group on the sidelines of the Dubai Business Forum – China in Shenzhen. The discussions focused on expanding coverage of Dubai across Chinese media platforms and building partnerships in content development, digital media, and knowledge exchange. The meeting followed separate engagements by the Dubai delegation with multiple prominent Chinese media outlets.

US authorities have raised national security and export-control concerns regarding the flow of advanced computing technology to the region, including the risk of technology diversion. The delays affect data centre operators and technology projects across the Gulf that rely on high-performance American graphics processing units.
Dubai Chambers and Chinese entities signed ten memorandums of understanding at the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen on October 14, 2026. The forum drew 854 Chinese business delegates and a 112-member Dubai delegation, highlighting artificial intelligence and logistics cooperation. Commercial agreements included an over AED 500 million logistics joint venture between Gargash Prime and JD Property.
