Alibaba Cloud Unveils Infrastructure Expansion in UAE and Global Hubs

Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to expand its data center capacity in the United Arab Emirates and several international markets. Unveiled at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, the initiative aims to meet rising demand for AI workloads and agent-native enterprise applications. The rollout will expand the company's global footprint to 31 regions and 107 availability zones.

Chinese cloud computing provider Alibaba Cloud announced plans to expand and upgrade its data center capacity across key international hubs, including the United Arab Emirates, according to reports from Telecoms.

The strategic roadmap was presented at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou. Alongside the UAE expansion, the development program covers new cloud regions and data infrastructure across Germany, France, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Following the global rollout, Alibaba Cloud's international operational footprint will span 31 regions and 107 availability zones worldwide. The company stated that the infrastructure investment is designed to support growing enterprise demand for artificial intelligence workloads and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, Alibaba Cloud introduced enterprise software suites engineered to facilitate agent-native AI implementations for enterprises operating between China and the Gulf region.

The move aims to facilitate cross-border transactions and strengthen ties between Chinese sovereign entities and GCC investors.
