UAE businesses preparing for mandatory e-invoicing must verify that their chosen vendors have completed full accreditation under updated Ministry of Finance regulations, according to Gulf News.
Ministerial Decision No. 168 of 2026 took effect on October 1, 2026, replacing Decision No. 64 of 2025 along with its interim framework. Service vendors holding preliminary approval were granted a 30-day window from October 1 to satisfy final testing requirements.
Companies with an annual turnover of Dh50 million or more face a deadline of October 30, 2026, to contract an accredited partner ahead of the full system launch in January 2027.
The Ministry of Finance also clarified that sales made directly to individual consumers for personal use remain exempt from the mandatory electronic invoicing system.
