The UAE Federal Tax Authority has issued a reminder to businesses regarding upcoming deadlines for the mandatory electronic invoicing system. Taxable entities with annual revenues of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026.

According to the authority, these large-scale businesses must complete contracting and technical integration to fully launch the e-invoicing system by January 1, 2027. Failure to appoint an accredited provider within the prescribed timeframe incurs an administrative fine of AED 5,000 for each month or fraction of a month of delay.

Enterprises with revenues below the AED 50 million threshold follow an extended timeline. These businesses are required to appoint an accredited provider by March 31, 2027, and achieve full operational rollout by July 1, 2027.

All technical integration procedures and statutory compliance management must be executed through the authority's digital platform, EmaraTax.
