The United Arab Emirates has introduced a five-year Golden Residency visa pathway tailored for outstanding secondary school students, Pakistan Connect reported. Under the scheme, qualifying students are permitted to reside in the country without the need for a local sponsor, and the residency benefits extend to their parents and siblings.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) confirmed the eligibility requirements for the visa category. Applicants are required to attain a minimum score of 95 percent in their secondary school examinations, obtain an official recommendation letter from the UAE Ministry of Education, and submit verified academic certificates along with supporting documentation from their educational institutions.
According to the report, the long-term residency program forms part of broader UAE efforts to draw top-tier global talent, spanning accomplished students, qualified graduates, and specialized professionals.
