The decision follows an epidemiological review confirming the end of the Ebola outbreak in Uganda. Precautionary entry restrictions remain in place for arrivals from South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The UAE government has issued updated rules and documentation criteria for foreigners seeking a jobseeker visit visa without a domestic sponsor. Eligible applicants can secure a single-entry visa for 60, 90, or 120 days based on professional skill tiers or graduation from a top 500 global university. The visa does not grant the right to work, requiring a separate permit once employment is secured.
The UAE government has outlined four official categories of individuals that foreign residents can sponsor on a visit visa. Investor applicants under Golden Residency categories must also maintain valid comprehensive health coverage under federal immigration guidelines.
