At the Ras Al Khaimah-China Business Summit held in Shenzhen under the theme 'Together Towards Shared Value', Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, addressed nearly 300 business leaders from south-east China. Sheikh Saud stated that over 400 Chinese companies currently operate in the emirate, positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a northern gateway connecting Chinese businesses to markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, complementary to China's Belt and Road Initiative.

The summit showcased commercial opportunities across advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital technology, renewable energy, and logistics, according to state media reports. Sheikh Saud highlighted the emirate's focus on building a resilient, diversified economy integrated into global supply chains.

Separately, fourteen global financial institutions managing more than $5 trillion in combined assets announced plans on October 19, 2026, to establish bases in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). ADGM Chairman Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi stated that the financial free zone offers regulatory clarity through its direct application of English Common Law and independent courts.

According to ADGM data, assets under management in the hub grew by 54 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2026. By mid-2026, the centre accommodated more than 190 fund and asset managers overseeing 276 regulated funds, reflecting a shift toward permanent operational presences in the UAE capital.
