The 31st Middle East Coatings Show opened on September 28, 2026, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai. Organiser dmg events reported that the exhibition marks the first time the biennial trade show is hosted at this new venue. The event is projected to gather more than 5,000 visitors and feature over 300 international brands across the coatings sector.
Abu Dhabi rose eight places to rank 33rd globally in JLL's 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index, scoring 2.42. The emirate recorded the largest improvement globally, supported by expanded market disclosure and digital initiatives led by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC). ADREC has established a strategic target to rank among the top 25 most transparent real estate markets by 2030.
Jingdong Property, the infrastructure and asset-management arm of JD.com, has signed an agreement with Kezad Group to develop a 150,000-square-metre warehousing complex in Abu Dhabi. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the hub is expected to create approximately 1,000 direct jobs. The project will feature automated warehousing systems and digital operations technology.
Arabian Business highlighted key UAE commercial developments including Etihad Rail's scheduled launch of Dubai passenger services on September 30, 2026. Dubai tenancy registrations also showed new leases outnumbering renewals as asking rents dropped by up to 15 percent in key apartment areas. Motorists and businesses across the country are also awaiting October fuel price adjustments following consecutive increases in August and September.
