Abu Dhabi has climbed eight places in JLL's 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index, advancing from 41st in 2024 to 33rd globally with a composite score of 2.42, according to Arabian Business. The performance made the emirate the world's leading improver among the 88 countries and 146 city markets evaluated in the biennial survey.

The index assesses real estate markets across criteria including market data, governance, regulation, transaction processes, and sustainability. Arabian Business reported that the ranking gain follows efforts to expand real estate data accessibility for investors and the public, encompassing transaction figures, service charges, and unit-level details.

The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), which oversees the emirate's real estate sector, has introduced publicly accessible market dashboards, interactive maps, and open APIs to make sector data easier to access and analyze. ADREC has now set a target of placing Abu Dhabi among the world's 25 most transparent real estate markets by 2030.

ADREC Director General Rashed Al Omaira stated that the progress was built on stronger governance, investor protection, and better access to trusted market information. He added that the next phase will focus increasingly on utilizing advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to extract earlier insights on market demand, risk, and performance.
