UAE Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama confirmed the country's intent to partner with Chinese manufacturers on energy storage and mobility. Chinese brands accounted for 67 percent of EV unit sales in the UAE in early 2025 as bilateral non-oil trade expanded.

Signal Ocean Reports Divergent Bauxite Flow Trends for China and UAE

Global seaborne bauxite shipments increased by roughly 3% year-on-year in September 2026 to 20.4 million tonnes, driven primarily by Guinean exports. While China absorbed the majority of growth with arrivals surging 21.2%, UAE arrivals fell by more than 60% amid shipping disruptions in the Arabian Gulf. Market analysts expect fourth-quarter flows to soften globally as Guinea enforces an annual export quota.

First XPENG Flying Car for UAE Low-Altitude Zone Rolls Off Line

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, visited XPENG AEROHT's mass-production plant in Guangzhou on October 20. Together with founder Zhao Deli, he unveiled and took delivery of the first 'Land Aircraft Carrier' (model X3-F) test unit for the UAE's low-altitude regulatory demonstration zone. The milestone advances a strategic cooperation agreement and regulatory sandbox initiative launched in September.
