On October 20, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and member of the UAE Supreme Council, led a delegation to visit the XPENG AEROHT flying-car mass-production facility in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, according to the Global Times.
During the visit, Sheikh Saud toured the mass-production facility and, together with XPENG AEROHT founder Zhao Deli, unveiled the first "Land Aircraft Carrier" (model X3-F) intended for use in the UAE's advanced low-altitude aviation regulatory demonstration zone, formally taking delivery of the test unit.
The Global Times reported that the delivery marks the first major implementation step since the two parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement and launched an advanced air mobility regulatory sandbox program in September, shifting cooperation from a preliminary framework to practical execution.
Unlike static exhibition displays, the aircraft had just rolled off the production line under a complete mass-production process and is prepared to begin trial operations. The report noted that this also marks the first time a foreign dignitary has visited an operational facility highlighting China's flying-car manufacturing system.
