FREELANDER has announced the first international test drive for the FREELANDER 8 will occur at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The event builds on the brand's global launch held in Abu Dhabi on September 29, 2026. Global media, creators, and dealership partners will test the vehicle across off-road and paved track conditions.
Officials from Sharjah and the Chinese Consulate in Dubai met to discuss expanding cooperation in technology, advanced manufacturing, and healthcare. Discussions included a proposal to set up a Chinese cultural institute in Sharjah, backed by expanding economic ties that saw bilateral trade reach AED 6.3 billion in 2025.
The 57th GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee convened in Manama to discuss regional industrial integration and supply chain connectivity. Abu Dhabi-based NMDC Group has inaugurated its new heavy-duty cutter suction dredger, Abu Al Bakhoush, in Nantong, China. The 148-meter rock-cutting vessel was constructed by Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industry. The vessel expands NMDC's fleet to support international projects while adhering to environmental standards.
