The UAE Federal Tax Authority has issued an updated compliance guide for its Qualified Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax regime under the OECD/G20 Pillar Two framework. Large multinational enterprise groups are required to maintain an effective tax rate of at least 15 percent. Groups with financial years ending before April 30, 2026, must register via the EmaraTax portal by November 30, 2026.
The number of registered new-economy companies in the UAE grew by approximately 37% year-on-year to reach nearly 125,000 by mid-2026. The investment aims to support Luckin's technology-driven operations and international retail expansion. The transaction occurs as Chinese coffee operators shift focus toward store productivity and sustainable margins.
The Trade in Services and Investment Agreement between the UAE and Belarus officially took effect on October 7, 2026. Signed in Minsk, the treaty lowers market access barriers and enhances legal protections for cross-border investors and service providers. Sectors covered include financial services, logistics, consulting, healthcare, and technology.
