The inaugural Middle East edition of the Arabian Chatbot and Agentic AI Summit opened on Monday, 26 October 2026, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The event convened artificial intelligence specialists, public sector officials, academic researchers, and enterprise executives to examine the operational deployment of artificial intelligence across commercial operations and public services.
Expanding to the United Arab Emirates from an established European conference series, the one-day gathering focused on agentic AI—autonomous systems capable of executing multi-step workflows with limited human intervention—alongside generative language models, conversational chatbots, and voice technologies. Sessions and panels examined operational hurdles that organisations face when migrating from pilot trials to large-scale production deployments, including system integration, reliability, security controls, and human oversight.
Discussions also addressed data sovereignty, governance frameworks, ethics, and regulatory compliance. Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Dr. Anas Najdawi, Dubai Campus Director and Associate Professor of Digital Business at Abu Dhabi University, highlighted the strategic importance of investing in domestic technical talent, local compute infrastructure, and homegrown AI foundation models engineered to understand Arabic linguistic and cultural contexts.
