Chinese technology company Huawei showcased its newly launched HUAWEI WATCH D3 smartwatch during the 31st International Society of Hypertension Scientific Meeting and 17th Emirates Cardiac Society Annual Conference (ISH-ECS 2026), held in Dubai from October 22 to 25, 2026, according to a corporate release.
The event brought together international experts to review clinical findings on wearable blood pressure monitors. Huawei, a member of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), demonstrated the device's medical-grade blood pressure tracking capabilities across multiple everyday scenarios.
To expand clinical research in cardiovascular health, Huawei announced the establishment of the Wearable Blood Pressure Technology Innovation Fund in collaboration with ISH. The fund targets two primary areas: wearable blood pressure measurement and wearable blood pressure management.
From more than 80 applications, three initial research projects were selected to receive backing under the fund. The chosen studies involve medical researchers from Peking University People's Hospital in China, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Cambridge in the UK, and the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka.
