China's outbound direct investment into the United Arab Emirates reached $2.6 billion, more than tripling from the previous reporting year, according to Arabian Business.
The latest capital inflows have expanded China's cumulative foreign direct investment stock in the UAE to $12.47 billion. At the same time, annual bilateral non-oil trade between China and the UAE has surpassed $100 billion.
This investment growth coincides with commercial expansions across the UAE by several Chinese companies, including financial firm China Securities, infrastructure manager JINGDONG Property, and autonomous driving technology company Momenta.
