Major Chinese financial institutions have expanded syndicated debt provision to key Gulf energy operators, including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

In the UAE, three Chinese commercial banks joined a consortium delivering up to $11 billion in financing for an ADNOC offshore gas project. The deployed capital will directly fund the development of upstream gas production and midstream energy infrastructure.

Financial analysts reported that regional energy producers are deliberately tapping Chinese capital to secure competitive margins and diversify international funding channels. The transactions highlight expanding capital market integration and bilateral investment ties between China and the UAE.
