Jingdong Property, the infrastructure investment and asset-management arm of Chinese e-commerce group JD.com, signed an agreement on September 28, 2026, with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad Group) to develop a warehousing complex at Kezad Al Ma'mourah. The value of the project was not disclosed.

The 150,000-square-metre logistics facility is scheduled for completion in 2028. According to a company statement, the development will incorporate automated warehousing systems and digital operations technology, offering logistics infrastructure and customised development services for domestic and international companies.

Once operational, the hub is expected to generate approximately 1,000 direct jobs in logistics, distribution, and administrative roles, alongside additional employment across manufacturing, retail, transport, and support services. Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, chief executive of Kezad Group, noted that the agreement aims to enhance regional logistics capabilities, reinforce trade corridors, and support Abu Dhabi's economic diversification and industrial targets, including the UAE's Operation 300bn programme.

Feng Guo, chief executive of JD.com Middle East, described the development as an important milestone in Jingdong Property's UAE expansion strategy to support fast-moving supply chains. Jingdong Property currently oversees more than 300 infrastructure assets globally covering over 28 million square metres of gross floor area, with more than $16 billion in assets under management.
