UAE Tax Authority Issues Mandatory E-Invoicing Deadlines for Businesses

The UAE Federal Tax Authority has warned businesses to prepare for the nationwide mandatory e-invoicing framework. Companies with annual revenues of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026. Entities earning under AED 50 million face a deadline of March 31, 2027, with penalties anticipated for non-compliance.

The UAE Federal Tax Authority has urged businesses nationwide to accelerate preparations for the upcoming mandatory e-invoicing regime, Arabian Business reported.

Under the phased rollout, enterprises with annual revenues of AED 50 million or higher must select and appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026. Smaller commercial entities generating less than AED 50 million annually are required to finalize their provider appointments by March 31, 2027.

The framework forms part of the UAE Ministry of Finance's digitisation program, which incorporates Peppol-compatible electronic invoicing standards across commercial operations.

Tax authorities cautioned that missing the scheduled integration milestones could disrupt commercial invoicing operations and lead to administrative non-compliance penalties.
