Large businesses in the United Arab Emirates with an annual turnover of Dh50 million or more have until October 30, 2026, to appoint an Accredited Service Provider, according to Gulf News. The requirement is part of the UAE's phased transition toward a unified e-invoicing system ahead of its mandatory nationwide go-live on January 1, 2027.
Under the framework, qualifying business-to-business (B2B) transactions will no longer be exchanged directly between companies. Instead, invoices must be validated and transmitted through an accredited third-party service provider.
The Ministry of Finance previously extended the deadline to appoint a provider from July 31 to October 30 following an assessment of market readiness and an expansion of the accredited provider network. Companies that fail to appoint a provider and implement the required system within the deadline will be subject to penalties of Dh5,000 for each month of delay.
