UAE businesses generating annual revenue of AED 50 million ($13.6 million) or more must appoint an accredited service provider by October 30, 2026, Arabian Business reported.

According to the Federal Tax Authority, mandatory full implementation of the electronic invoicing system for these large enterprises is scheduled for January 1, 2027. Failure to comply on time carries an administrative penalty of AED 5,000 ($1,361) for each month or partial month of delay.

The initiative mandates that companies execute system contracting and technical integration through the EmaraTax digital tax portal.

Businesses with revenue below the AED 50 million threshold face a subsequent deadline of March 31, 2027, to select a provider, with mandatory system rollout to be completed by July 1, 2027.
