Updated official guidance outlines the legal requirements and commercial framework for the UAE Remote Working Visa catering to international professionals, executives, and business owners, according to Al Arabiya Group.
Under the framework, applicants must demonstrate a minimum foreign-sourced monthly income of $3,500, verified by certified bank statements covering six consecutive months. The visa is issued for one year and is renewable.
Holders of the visa obtain full UAE residency benefits without the need for a local corporate sponsor. These benefits include the issuance of an Emirates ID, eligibility to enter into residential leases, and the ability to open corporate and personal bank accounts.
Foreign remote workers qualify for 0% UAE personal income tax on overseas earnings and are eligible to apply for a Tax Residency Certificate under Cabinet Decision No. 85 of 2022. Additionally, primary visa holders can sponsor spouses, daughters of any age, and dependent sons up to the age of 25.
