The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has issued a regulatory advisory outlining eight mandatory conditions to claim cash compensation under the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme, Arabian Business reported.
Under the scheme, eligible public and private sector employees who lose their jobs are entitled to receive up to AED 20,000 ($5,446) per month for a maximum duration of three months.
To qualify for payouts, insured workers must have maintained active subscription payments for at least 12 consecutive months prior to job loss. In addition, claims must be formally submitted within 30 days of the date of employment termination.
Compensation is subject to termination conditions. Benefit payments are halted immediately if a recipient secures new employment during the eligibility period. Furthermore, individuals dismissed for disciplinary reasons or those with pending absence complaints are not eligible to receive financial support.
