The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced procedural updates to the issuance of 13 types of work permits as part of the federal Zero Bureaucracy programme, according to Gulf News.

Under the updated framework, MoHRE has eliminated all mandatory supporting document submissions for these permit applications. The ministry has also cut required data input fields by between 75 per cent and 97 per cent, which shortens total application processing times.

MoHRE stated that the measures aim to simplify business onboarding, reduce administrative red tape, and modernise digital labour services across the private sector. Furthermore, the ministry initiated a digital public consultation running until July 30 to gather feedback on further optimising work permit procedures.
