UAE labour authorities have detailed the statutory conditions governing employer wage deductions under federal labour law, according to Emirates 24|7.

Permissible deductions include employee subscriptions to corporate savings funds or repayments for loans payable to funds approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), provided written consent is obtained from the worker.

Deductions are also authorised for workplace disciplinary penalties, provided they adhere strictly to ministerial regulations and the employer's approved internal penalty guidelines.

Additionally, employers may deduct wages to recover excess funds mistakenly paid to workers, or to satisfy court judgments within established statutory deduction limits.
