Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, headed the national delegation at the meetings of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee and the Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs in Bahrain, Gulf News reported. The delegation included Hasan Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, along with senior ministry officials.
According to the report, the meetings ran from October 6 to October 8 under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain. The sessions took place on the sidelines of the inaugural Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026 held at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Gulf News reported that the UAE's participation focused on strengthening industrial integration among GCC member states, building more resilient regional supply chains, accelerating the deployment of advanced technology and artificial intelligence in industry, and expanding the role of the private sector in joint industrial opportunities.
UAE delegates participated in panel sessions addressing industrial financing, innovation, infrastructure, and supply chain resilience. The report noted that UAE industrial exports reached Dh260 billion in 2025. Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, also visited the UAE ministry's pavilion to review national industrial products.
