A high-level UAE trade delegation led by Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), attended the China International Industry Fair in Shanghai. The delegation included representatives from the Emirates Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, EDGE Group, Emirates Global Aluminium, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), and Aldar. The visit focused on negotiating new manufacturing partnerships and exploring technology transfers in areas including industrial robotics, assembly automation, and smart factory technologies.

In tandem with industrial engagements in Shanghai, the Dubai Business Forum – China concluded in Shenzhen under the theme 'Momentum at Scale: Accelerating Shared Success.' The event brought together 854 Chinese investors and business leaders alongside a 112-member delegation from Dubai's public and private sectors, marking the largest overseas business delegation led by Dubai Chambers.

Addressing the forum, Dubai Chambers Chairman Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori stated that China remains Dubai's largest global trading partner. Bilateral non-oil trade grew 118.4% from AED 166.4 billion in 2016 to approximately AED 363.5 billion in 2025, expanding by nearly 23% between 2024 and 2025 alone.

Investment flows also showed sustained growth, with Dubai attracting more than 300 Chinese foreign direct investment projects valued at over AED 24.6 billion between 2016 and 2025. Annual Chinese FDI into Dubai expanded from around AED 1.2 billion in 2024 to more than AED 3.4 billion in 2025. Active Chinese member companies registered with Dubai Chambers reached 6,650 by the end of September 2026, with trade and services accounting for roughly 58% of the total.
