UAE businesses competing for government and semi-government contracts can now obtain an early assessment of their In-Country Value (ICV) score before undertaking the formal certification process, according to Gulf News.
ADEPTS Chartered Accountants has released a free online ICV Score Calculator designed to model a company's standing based on local spending, capital investment, Emiratisation, and workforce costs. The firm stated that the calculator applies the methodology and weightings used under the UAE National ICV framework, accounting for different calculation criteria between manufacturers and service providers.
Under the system, companies enter financial and workforce data to receive an estimated score alongside a component breakdown. The tool aims to help corporate leadership identify operational, procurement, or hiring adjustments that could strengthen their ICV position prior to official audits.
ADEPTS noted that the tool is intended strictly for planning and early monitoring, emphasizing that it does not replace formal ICV certification, which continues to require independent review and validation by an authorized certifying body.
