The economic corridor between the United Arab Emirates and Asian markets is transitioning into an integrated cross-border ecosystem, according to an analysis by Shivkumar Rohira, CEO EMEA at Klay Group, published in Arabian Business. Dubai and Singapore are increasingly fulfilling complementary roles as Asian companies expand internationally and cross-border governance frameworks develop.

Asian businesses continue to expand their presence in the Gulf. By September 2026, active Chinese corporate memberships in Dubai Chambers reached 6,650, representing an increase of more than 200 percent since 2016. In parallel, Indian fintech firms have expanded regionally, with PhonePe initiating UAE expansion following in-principle regulatory clearance and Juspay establishing its Middle East headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Capital flows are progressing bi-directionally, with Gulf sovereign capital deepening Asian commitments. Sovereign investor Mubadala's 2026 outlook reaffirmed China as a central anchor of its Asian direct investment strategy, alongside India. Meanwhile, wealth administration frameworks are expanding, with DIFC recording 1,409 registered foundations by mid-2026, up 67 percent year-on-year, alongside ongoing developments in Abu Dhabi Global Market's (ADGM) foundation regime.
