Entrepreneurs and startup founders have stated that the UAE has become a primary destination for attracting innovative technological projects, according to Emirates 24|7. Founders noted that the country has evolved from a market for establishing new ventures into an international hub for developing business models, supported by ease of doing business, talent availability, and technological infrastructure.
Participants presented their projects at a startup exhibition organized by the Thara Foundation. Founders stated they relocated their ventures from countries including Italy, Tunisia, and Sri Lanka to use the UAE as a launchpad for global markets.
Showcased innovations included smart footwear designed to track foot health indicators and stress, artificial intelligence-powered prosthetic limbs that predict movement, a virtual clinic for pets, digital platforms for education and book exchange, and a digital wallet aimed at students and micro-entrepreneurs.
The exhibition was held as part of the first Thara Connect forum, organized by the Ajman Chamber to coincide with the launch of the Thara investment and entrepreneurship system. The event featured a startup competition enabling entrepreneurs to pitch to investors and industry experts.
