The Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF) launched the 2026 China-Arab Business & Investment Report during the Investopia Bridge 2026 forum at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Abu Dhabi, according to event statements. The launch took place during the forum's plenary session in the presence of UAE Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi and UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.
Developed jointly by SIEF and Investopia with support from HSC Asset Management, the report examines economic collaboration between China, the UAE, and the wider Arab world. It divides bilateral engagement into two core tracks: the "Now Economy" and the "New Economy".
According to the report, the Now Economy framework covers logistics and aviation, energy and petrochemicals, real estate and construction, machinery and equipment, and culture and tourism. The New Economy track analyzes clean energy and energy storage, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, trade finance and settlement mechanisms, and mobility and electric vehicles.
The report stated that bilateral relations are shifting beyond conventional trade and energy flows toward joint ventures, localized manufacturing, technological collaboration, financial innovation, and third-market projects across the Global South. SIEF also hosted a closed-door executive roundtable titled "From Trade to Partnership: Unlocking the Next Chapter of China-Arab Investment" alongside the launch.
In addition to the report, SIEF and the World Bank unveiled a strategic partnership under the "Understanding Risk" initiative. The agreement aims to advance disaster and climate resilience across the Middle East and Africa, targeting the Understanding Risk Abu Dhabi 2027 conference as an upcoming cooperation milestone.
