The ninth Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2026) will feature a dedicated series of specialized workshops on October 14 and 15, 2026, at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. Operating under the theme "Building Adaptive Economies," the forum is organised by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Investment, offering over 140 activities and expecting more than 10,000 participants from over 60 countries.

The workshop agenda is designed to explore how institutional expertise and technology bolster enterprise competitiveness. Sessions will cover the use of artificial intelligence in supply chain resilience, commercial dispute resolution, tax compliance under UAE legislation, and corporate decision-making. Official data from Invest in Sharjah indicates that the emirate attracted AED 7.74 billion in FDI capital in 2025, creating 5,673 new jobs.

On the opening day, a session titled "Building Supply Chain Resilience: The Role of AI and Organisational Capabilities" will be led by Ali Almutawa, Senior Director of Operations at Shurooq, drawing on research across the GCC. Meanwhile, the Mexican Business Council will host "Investing in the UAE: How AI Simplifies Tax and Compliance," comparing AI software designed to assist companies with UAE corporate tax obligations and vendor verification.

Dispute resolution and investor protection will also feature on the schedule, with the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre (TAHKEEM) conducting a session on developing future arbitration professionals to support dispute resolution mechanisms. Additional workshops include an examination of women's leadership titled "Breaking Barriers: Women Building What's Next," smart cities analysis by Al Marwan Group, and youth-oriented economic development sessions.
