Russian financial technology firm A7 has launched A7 International, a global payment service that allows clients to execute cross-border settlements using cryptocurrency, according to a report by Big News Network. The platform enables customers to pay invoices using Tether (USDT), while beneficiaries receive conventional fiat bank transfers via SWIFT without having to handle digital currencies directly.
The service provides settlements in four major currencies: Chinese yuan, UAE dirhams, US dollars, and euros. A7 charges a 0.3% commission on transactions, and transfers can be processed in as little as one business day. Users can access the platform online after completing identity verification and submitting an invoice, subject to local regulations permitting cryptocurrency circulation.
Pyotr Fradkov, chairman of Promsvyazbank, which established A7, stated that the primary demand among current market participants is transferring funds globally as quickly as possible in just a few clicks. Fradkov previously noted that the platform was designed to facilitate trade settlements and reduce exposure to Western financial infrastructure.
A7 was created in 2024 following 2022 US and European Union sanctions that cut off major Russian lenders from SWIFT. According to company figures, A7 serves approximately 15,000 corporate clients, processes over 2,000 transactions daily across more than 100 countries, and handled over 10 trillion rubles (around $125 billion) in trade payments during 2025.
