Abu Dhabi-based NMDC Group has inaugurated its new heavy-duty cutter suction dredger, Abu Al Bakhoush, in Nantong, China. Chinese automaker XPENG has introduced its Kunpeng Super Range Extender technology to the GCC market through a regional test drive tour of its GX SUV. Announced at a media workshop in Dubai, the Grand Xplore Tour will traverse all six GCC member nations starting and ending in the UAE. The GX model features a 63.3 kWh battery and 60-litre fuel tank, delivering up to 1,585 km of combined CLTC range.
The United Arab Emirates is accelerating pipeline construction to double its crude oil export capacity bypassing the Strait of Hormuz by 2027. State producer Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is expanding conduit links to the Gulf of Oman port of Fujairah. The initiative builds on an existing pipeline to secure alternative export channels outside the regional maritime chokepoint.
