Huawei announced a series of wireless network innovations at its Huawei Decoding China event in Shanghai on October 28, 2026. Presented by Fang Xiang, Corporate Vice President and President of Wireless Network Solution at Huawei, the launches featured the commercial U6 GHz device VitaAAU, the GigaGreen Plus series, and the UBBPi series.

According to the company, VitaAAU is built on RetinaMIMO technology, which is designed to address vertical coverage collapse and diminishing returns from larger antenna arrays. Huawei stated that VitaAAU expands coverage by approximately 30 percent compared to similar 1024 array-element products, matching C-band coverage and allowing deployment on existing C-band sites. The device has entered commercial adoption in the UAE and other markets, delivering peak downlink speeds exceeding 10 Gbps.

Huawei also showcased hardware architectures aimed at reducing power consumption. Its EP power amplifier architecture and multimode dielectric filters were introduced to lower base station dimensions and energy usage, enabling a 1.5-meter antenna diameter for VitaAAU. Concurrently, the new UBBPi baseband series reportedly improves average user experience by 1.3 times while reducing power consumption by roughly 40 percent through dynamic resource scheduling via Huawei's OSCAR solution.

In autonomous networks, Huawei reported that its RANSpirit system operates across 25 networks globally, covering more than 1.2 million cells. The company noted it is collaborating on industry standards with the TM Forum on the A2A-T framework, contributing open-source components to the Linux Foundation, and coordinating deployment efforts through the GSMA platform.
