Regional IT distributor Hiperdist was appointed as an Authorised Huawei Cloud Distributor for the United Arab Emirates on September 29, 2026. The agreement expands China-based Huawei's cloud computing and enterprise artificial intelligence ecosystem into the UAE digital market. Under the arrangement, Hiperdist will oversee channel recruitment, partner enablement, and the local distribution of cloud and data management services.
The alliance builds on enterprise AI solutions unveiled during Huawei Connect in Shanghai and extends a prior working relationship established between the companies across Africa. Hiperdist is part of a $2.3 billion group with an operating presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa dating back to 1979.
According to Adil Ali, General Manager of Hiperdist Gulf, the partnership targets Cloud Service Providers, Independent Software Vendors, and System Integrators to accelerate Huawei Cloud adoption. Hiperdist plans to provide onboarding, training, pre-sales support, and go-to-market commercial frameworks to assist local partners with cloud migration and service delivery.
Salman Syed, Senior Channel Sales & Alliance Manager at Huawei Cloud Middle East, noted that immediate channel demand is focused on cloud migration, core compute and storage modernization, and data management. Syed stated that subsequent growth opportunities are expected in AI and advanced data analytics utilising tools such as MaaS Token, Model Arts, Data Arts, and Code Arts.
