First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched The Exchange, an AI Practitioner Insights Series designed to share practical knowledge on deploying, governing, and scaling enterprise artificial intelligence responsibly. The inaugural session was convened at FAB Headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Hosted by the FAB AI Innovation Hub, the invitation-only event brought together 30 participants, including senior AI practitioners, technology and data leaders, researchers, corporate executives, and governance specialists from across industry, academia, and regulatory bodies. FAB stated that the initiative aims to build a trusted community of practitioners, foster multi-sector collaboration, and support Abu Dhabi's and the UAE's broader AI ambitions.

Held under the theme "AI Decision Making and Governance", discussions centered on embedding AI into corporate decision-making processes while maintaining an appropriate balance between machine autonomy and human judgement. Participants examined where human oversight remains indispensable and how emerging AI technologies can transition beyond proof-of-concept stages to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The programme also explored how governance, clear accountability, and regulatory readiness underpin trust and enterprise-scale adoption. Contributions from FAB, NYU Abu Dhabi, and the ADGM Registration Authority connected practitioner insights across operational implementation, academic research, and regulatory frameworks.
