The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) signed strategic agreements during the 45th Sharjah International Book Fair aimed at broadening the international reach of Emirati publishers, according to the Emirates News Agency.
As part of the initiative, the EPA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Publishing 3.0+ to establish a pilot translation programme between Arabic and Chinese. The project connects publishing enterprises across the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, and mainland China.
The partnership focuses on expanding commercial cooperation, managing intellectual property rights, and facilitating content exchange between the two regions.
EPA Executive Director Rashid Al Kous stated that the agreement enables publishers to streamline administrative and operational processes while securing new commercial opportunities in Asian markets.
