Dubai CommerCity (DCC), an e-commerce free zone operating as a joint venture between Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Group, has entered into a partnership agreement with China-based Tencent Cloud, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. The agreement was signed at Tencent's headquarters in Shenzhen during an official DCC delegation visit led by Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity, alongside Rachel Xie, General Manager of Tencent Cloud MENA and General Manager of Operations, Channel Development & Marketing at Tencent Cloud International.

Under the partnership terms, Tencent Cloud will make its suite of cloud computing technologies and digital solutions available to businesses registered within Dubai CommerCity. The initiative aims to support the digital transformation of e-commerce and retail companies operating in the free zone and facilitate operational scaling.

The cooperation also includes plans for joint initiatives such as exhibitions, hackathons, specialized workshops, and networking events designed to foster knowledge exchange and technology adoption across the sector.

According to the parties, the agreement aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which targets doubling the size of Dubai's economy by 2033 and strengthening the emirate's standing as a global digital commerce hub.
