Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD has announced that its ultra-luxury marque, Yangwang, will stage the world premiere of its flagship limousine, the Yangwang Altior, in Abu Dhabi. The executive luxury sedan is scheduled for its official debut at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in early November.

The vehicle measures approximately 5.5 metres in length and is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, roof-mounted lidar, and rear-hinged coach doors. It is estimated to retail at more than RMB 2 million ($300,000) in the Chinese domestic market.

According to the report, the model is targeted at competing directly against established European ultra-luxury marques, including Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Maybach. The global launch reflects Chinese automotive manufacturers selecting the United Arab Emirates as an international showcase for premium engineering.
