Banqup Delivers UAE Tax Authority Peppol Corner 5 Node Ahead of 2027 Mandate

Belgian firm Banqup Group has developed and will operate the Peppol Corner 5 access point for the UAE Federal Tax Authority. The node will validate invoice tax data under the Ministry of Finance's mandatory e-invoicing system starting in 2027.

Belgian e-invoicing firm Banqup Group has confirmed it developed and will operate the Peppol Corner 5 access point for the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA). Banqup serves as the core technology partner in a consortium led by Clever Science Computer System Trading, a company based in Dubai.

The Peppol Corner 5 node functions as the central clearing platform to receive and validate invoice tax data under the UAE Ministry of Finance's mandatory electronic invoicing programme.

According to the announcement, UAE companies generating annual revenues of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026. The Phase One mandatory go-live covering large enterprise B2B and B2G transactions is scheduled to formally take effect on January 1, 2027.
