ADIPEC 2026 opened in Abu Dhabi on November 2 for a four-day summit addressing energy security, technology, and infrastructure investment, Caspian Post reported. Held under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed and hosted by ADNOC, the event runs through November 5 and is projected to attract more than 239,000 attendees from over 170 countries.
The exhibition features a record 2,260 exhibiting companies across all 16 halls at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. More than 40 government ministers are participating alongside executives from global energy companies including Azerbaijan's SOCAR, BP, Shell, TotalEnergies, Eni, ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Occidental Petroleum, as well as technology corporations such as Siemens, IBM, and Microsoft.
Discussions focus on supply security and trade routes following sustained disruption in global oil and gas markets. The opening schedule includes remarks by ADNOC Chief Executive Dr. Sultan Al Jaber and a ministerial session with UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei and counterparts from Germany, Türkiye, and Egypt. Caspian Post noted that prior to the Iran war, nearly 90 percent of crude oil and condensate moving through the Strait of Hormuz went to Asia.
Artificial intelligence, electricity demand, and operational efficiency are key thematic pillars. Halliburton is presenting AI-powered drilling tools, GE Vernova is exhibiting gas turbines and carbon management systems, while Emerson, Schneider Electric, SLB, Aveva, and Honeywell are showcasing automation systems. Pre-event research revealed that 76 percent of surveyed Middle East energy leaders expanded investments in autonomous technologies over the past year.
