The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has launched its inaugural health and life sciences mission to China, taking place from September 21 to 30, 2026. The UAE delegation is conducting official visits across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing to pursue bilateral commercial and research partnerships.
The visiting delegation includes representatives from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, PureHealth, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI).
According to reports, delegation members are holding discussions with Chinese government authorities, research universities, and biotechnology firms. The talks focus on artificial intelligence, medical robotics, precision oncology, and new drug development.
The initiative is structured to establish joint clinical trials and accelerate the transfer and translation of Chinese medical technologies and therapeutics into the UAE healthcare market.
