Dubai Chambers Head Anticipates Deeper Commercial and Technology Links with China

Dubai Chambers President and CEO Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah expects commercial and investment links with China to expand further. Speaking ahead of the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen, Lootah emphasized growing appetite among Chinese technology and artificial intelligence firms to use Dubai as a gateway to regional and international markets. The initiatives align with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to foster cross-border innovation and trade.

The leadership of Dubai Chambers has highlighted expectations for closer commercial and technological cooperation between Dubai and China ahead of the upcoming Dubai Business Forum – China, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen on October 14, 2026.

In remarks broadcast by China Media Group, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, noted that Chinese enterprises increasingly view Dubai as a launchpad to expand their market footprint into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Lootah identified Shenzhen's growth as a major technology hub in the Greater Bay Area as a vital driver for corporate collaboration. He stated that the bilateral forum will serve as a platform for Chinese companies to present advanced technologies and explore commercial expansion into Dubai.

Highlighting directives from Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to lead private sector adoption of Agentic AI, Lootah stated that Dubai offers Chinese artificial intelligence companies an application and testing ground to showcase innovations globally.

The upcoming summit is organized under the theme "Momentum at Scale: Accelerating Shared Success," supporting the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to expand bilateral trade, investment, and digital economy partnerships.
