The UAE Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) have issued a reminder to businesses regarding an upcoming compliance milestone under the country's mandatory electronic invoicing rollout, Gulf News reported.
Under the phased implementation framework, companies with an annual turnover of Dh50 million or more must formally appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026. Businesses that fail to meet this requirement will be subject to ongoing administrative fines of Dh5,000 for every month of delay.
Mandatory issuance of structured e-invoices for this initial cohort is scheduled to officially commence on January 1, 2027. Smaller enterprises with revenues below the Dh50 million threshold will be required to appoint an accredited provider by March 31, 2027.
