The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) announced that businesses with annual revenues of Dh50 million or more must contract an accredited electronic invoicing service provider by October 30, 2026, Gulf News reported.

Companies that fail to comply with this regulatory deadline face recurring monthly administrative penalties of Dh5,000.

This measure serves as preparation for the mandatory nationwide rollout of the UAE's electronic invoicing system, which is scheduled for January 1, 2027.

The FTA instructed qualifying companies to complete provider selection, sign formal service agreements, and integrate their accounting systems without delay. Authorities highlighted that the new electronic invoicing framework aims to automate and standardize business reporting across the country.
