The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC), in collaboration with Chinese technology company Huawei, celebrated the graduation of 37 UAE nationals from the second cohort of the Nafis International Programme on October 8, 2026.
The participants completed a two-month programme comprising four weeks of coursework in the UAE and four weeks of practical technical training at Huawei's campus in Shenzhen, China. The curriculum focused on critical digital disciplines aligned with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, big data, and 5G networks.
All 37 graduates earned the Huawei Certified ICT Associate credential to enhance their qualifications for technical roles in the private sector. ETCC Secretary General Ghannam Al Mazrouei and Huawei UAE CEO David Li emphasized that the corporate partnership equips young Emirati professionals with international technology capabilities while deepening bilateral knowledge exchange.
