The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) hosted an official delegation comprising 13 representatives and specialists from six major Chinese publishing and educational enterprises, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Discussions were led by SBA Chief Executive Officer Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, focusing on expanding rights exchanges and educational distribution between China and the Middle East. The two parties also examined mechanisms to increase the presence of Chinese educational publishers at the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair.

During the meeting, Sharjah Publishing City highlighted its commercial and regulatory infrastructure, which is structured to assist international publishing companies in establishing regional headquarters. Both sides agreed to set up direct institutional communication channels to support ongoing copyright trading and the distribution of translated content.
