Hongqi Debuts G919 New-Energy Vehicle in UAE at Abu Dhabi Reception

Chinese automotive brand Hongqi unveiled its G919 model in the Middle East during a reception at the Chinese Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The vehicle features a body-on-frame build, a 2.0-liter turbocharged range-extender system, and four electric motors. Hongqi confirmed plans to expand its sales and service network across the UAE and the broader region.

Chinese premium automotive manufacturer Hongqi officially debuted its G919 model in the Middle East on September 24, 2026, during a reception at the Chinese Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The event marked the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and 42 years of diplomatic ties between China and the United Arab Emirates.

The showcased new-energy vehicle features a body-on-frame chassis, four independent electric motors, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged range-extender system designed for regional driving conditions. Hongqi presented the model to highlight Chinese intelligent vehicle technologies to Middle Eastern attendees.

Following the debut, Hongqi announced intentions to expand its sales and service infrastructure in the UAE and other regional markets. The company plans to introduce additional premium models tailored to local needs and develop partnerships in new-energy vehicles and smart mobility.

ADNOC Sells at Least 30 Million Barrels of Spot Crude to Asia

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has sold at least 30 million barrels of spot crude to Asian refiners and trading houses, trade sources reported. Chinese purchasers Unipec and Rongsheng Petrochemical secured up to 10 million barrels of Upper Zakum crude. The transactions covered Das, Upper Zakum, and Umm Lulu grades for June to August loading.
